A few months before our trip, my friend Olivia came over for a wine day on the deck. Somewhere between the snacks, mom talk, and catching up, we started talking about how disappointed we were to be missing the Backstreet Boys Vegas residency that summer.
Then the next day, Instagram delivered the news we didn’t know we needed — they had added shows for the very last week of December.
Within minutes, we were texting each other:
“Should we do it?”
“Wait… are we ACTUALLY doing this?”

Backstreet Boys at the Sphere: Quick Tips

Where We Stayed: The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
We stayed at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas as part of the Vibee Backstreet Boys concert package, and I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else for this trip.
The biggest advantage was the location. Since the Venetian is connected directly to Sphere by a covered pedestrian walkway, getting to the concert couldn’t have been easier. We simply walked through the tunnel connecting the two, and within minutes we were at Sphere. There was no need to deal with traffic, parking, or rideshares after the show, which made the entire experience so much more enjoyable.
Beyond the convenience, I absolutely fell in love with the Venetian. The entire resort is gorgeous, elegant, and feels incredibly upscale without being stuffy. It’s located on one of my favorite areas of the Las Vegas Strip, and everything felt clean, beautiful, and easy to access.
One of my favorite things about the hotel was the rooms. Even the standard rooms feel like you’re staying in a suite because of the thoughtful layout. Instead of just walking into a room with two beds, there’s a separate sunken living area with a couch and table before you get to the sleeping area. It made the room feel so much more spacious and gave us a comfortable place to relax after long days exploring Las Vegas.
The bathrooms were also beautiful, with plenty of space to get ready, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. After walking miles around the Strip every day, climbing into those beds at night felt amazing.
We also visited the fitness center one morning, and I was really impressed. It was large, clean, and had everything we needed for a great workout before heading back out to explore.
If you’re planning to see the Backstreet Boys at Sphere—or really any show at Sphere—I highly recommend staying at the Venetian. The location alone makes it worth it, and the beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and overall atmosphere made it one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at in Las Vegas.

Since the Venetian became our home base for the weekend, every adventure in this guide started from there—and it made exploring the Strip incredibly easy.
The Ultimate Backstreet Boys Fan Experience
One of the coolest parts of the entire trip was the immersive Backstreet Boys fan experience they had set up inside the Venetian.
The entire space was themed almost like a Backstreet Boys airport terminal, complete with a themed bar, giant screens playing old music videos, memorabilia, vintage magazines, photo ops, and areas to pick up concert packages and tickets.
Honestly, it felt like stepping straight back into our teenage years in the best possible way.
Everywhere we looked, there was another nostalgic detail — old magazine covers, iconic music video clips, songs we hadn’t heard in years, and thousands of women our age completely reliving their childhood.
I had seen the Louis Vuitton mini bum bags all over social media before and always thought they were so cute and practical — basically the elevated, luxury version of the everyday belt bag every mom carries now.
So I told myself:
“If I see one in person and absolutely love it, maybe I’ll do it.”
And somehow… I actually did.
We took all the pictures, explored every corner, and probably spent way too much time pointing at old photos saying:
“Oh my gosh, I remember this era.”
They also had an entire merch store set up inside the experience, and let me just say… the merch was AMAZING.
But the prices?
Absolutely wild.
I’m pretty sure some of the sweatshirts were around $150, which quickly humbled us both.
As much as we wanted matching Backstreet Boys sweatshirts, we ultimately decided to pass on the merch.
Honestly though, I kind of considered my Louis Vuitton bag my unofficial Backstreet Boys souvenir purchase anyway, so I think I still committed to the experience pretty fully.
Fun fact: months after our trip, Emily saw a woman carrying a Louis Vuitton bag at Costco and excitedly said, “Look, Mommy! A Backstreet Boys bag!” 🤣
I guess that’s what happens when your seven-year-old watches you come home with your favorite souvenir. To this day, she still associates Louis Vuitton with Backstreet Boys, and honestly…I kind of love that.
What We Wore to the Backstreet Boys Concert
One thing we quickly learned about the Backstreet Boys residency crowd:
people COMMIT to the all-white dress code.
And when I say everyone was dressed in white…
I mean EVERYONE.
The entire concert felt like one giant millennial-themed white party, and honestly, it made the whole experience feel even more fun and unforgettable.
Olivia wore a gorgeous white pantsuit, and I ended up wearing a strapless white jumpsuit from Petal & Pup that I found on Amazon.
It was one of those outfits that instantly made me feel confident the second I put it on.
I actually had to exchange it for a smaller size before the trip, and thankfully Amazon made the process super easy. Once the right size arrived though, it fit perfectly.
And honestly? I got SO many compliments on it all night long.
I’ll definitely link it because it ended up being the perfect Vegas concert outfit — comfortable enough to wear for hours but still dressy and fun enough for the full Backstreet Boys experience.

Finally Seeing the Backstreet Boys in Vegas
The concert itself was honestly the best concert experience of my entire life — and I’m not even exaggerating.
Seeing the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere felt less like attending a concert and more like being transported into an entirely different world.
Where We Sat at the Backstreet Boys Sphere Concert
We chose seats in Section 108, and they were absolutely worth it. We felt close enough to clearly see the Backstreet Boys performing on stage, but we were also far enough back to take in the incredible immersive visuals that make the Sphere so unique. It really felt like the best of both worlds—you don’t have to choose between seeing the band and experiencing the massive LED screen. If I went again, I would happily book seats in this area again.
The show started with this dramatic countdown, and then suddenly the entire Sphere came alive around us. One second we were standing in a concert venue, and the next it genuinely felt like we had launched into outer space.
Tip: Although our tickets listed an 8:00 PM start time, the Backstreet Boys didn’t actually take the stage until around 8:40 PM. I’d still recommend arriving by 7:30–7:45 PM so you have time to find your seats, grab a drink, take photos, and enjoy the pre-show atmosphere.
The visuals were INSANE.
At some points it felt like we were inside a spaceship, floating through the universe, and honestly the experience was so immersive that when I showed my kids photos afterward, they thought I had literally gone to space.
And somehow, in the middle of all the mind-blowing visuals and giant screens and effects, the Backstreet Boys themselves were still the stars of the show.
They sounded exactly the same.
They looked exactly the same.
And the energy in that room was unreal.
Every single person around us knew every word to every song, so the entire concert became one giant singalong with thousands of strangers who somehow all shared the exact same childhood memories.
Everyone was dancing, screaming lyrics, laughing, and completely losing themselves in the moment.
And honestly?
That’s probably what made it feel so special.
For a few hours, there was no stress.
No schedules.
No work.
No responsibilities.
Just music, nostalgia, friendship, and pure carefree joy.
It was one of those experiences that makes you stop and think:
“This is exactly what life is supposed to feel like sometimes.”

Our Favorite Vegas Spots From the Trip
Before I wrap this up, I have to share a few of our favorite spots from the trip because we genuinely had some amazing food and cocktails while we were there.
One of our absolute favorite cocktail spots was Vanderpump Cocktail Garden inside Caesars Palace. The vibe there was SO pretty and over-the-top in the best way possible. I ordered a raspberry lemon drop-style martini that was honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
We also loved Beauty & Essex, which had such a cool speakeasy atmosphere and incredible food. Most of the menu is served tapas-style with smaller shareable plates, which made it really fun because we got to try a little bit of everything.
And of course, we also made plenty of stops for brunch and coffee throughout the Venetian while wandering back and forth between the hotel and the Sphere. Honestly, half the fun of Vegas is just walking around, finding cute places to stop, and fully embracing vacation mode for a few days.
And of course, we fully embraced it.
Finally Buying Something Just for Me
Somewhere between the shopping, laughing, and fully embracing our Vegas girls trip era, I made a purchase I honestly never imagined I would make for myself.
I bought my very first designer bag.
After spending so much of the year working overtime shifts as a nurse, paying for home repairs, appliances, and all the unglamorous parts of adulthood, it felt strangely emotional buying something that was purely for ME.
Not practical.
Not necessary.
Not for the house.
Not for the kids.
Just something fun that made me happy.
And honestly? Six months later, I still use it almost every single day.
It somehow makes every outfit feel more put together, and every time I wear it, it reminds me of this trip and this season of life where I finally started saying yes to myself a little more.
Also… naturally… the matching wallet came home with me too.

More Than Just a Concert
Looking back now, this trip ended up meaning so much more to me than just seeing the Backstreet Boys in Vegas.
Yes, the concert was incredible.
Yes, the Sphere completely blew my mind.
And yes, I’ll probably still talk about that raspberry martini forever.
But what I’ll remember most is how this trip felt.
And honestly, the timing of it could not have been more perfect.
As moms, the holiday season is magical — but it’s also exhausting. Between creating Christmas magic for your kids, shopping, wrapping presents, school events, holiday traditions, cooking, hosting, and trying to make everything feel special for everyone else, by the time Christmas is over, you’re completely drained.
So taking this trip right after the holidays honestly felt like the biggest exhale.
For a few days, we stepped away from work schedules, responsibilities, overtime shifts, laundry, dishes, school pickups, and all the nonstop demands of everyday life.
We laughed until we cried.
We stayed up talking in the hotel room.
We sang every word to songs we grew up loving.
We dressed up, explored Vegas, and fully embraced the experience.
And honestly, somewhere in the middle of all of it, I think we both remembered that we’re still people outside of being nurses, wives, and moms.
This trip reminded me how important friendship, fun, and making memories really are.
And as guilty as moms sometimes feel for taking time away, I truly believe trips like this refill your cup in a way that benefits everyone when you come home.
So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to book the girls trip, go to the concert, say yes to the experience, or finally spend money on memories instead of just responsibilities…
