After taking our kids to Disneyland several times, we’ve found that the easiest way for our family to do Disneyland is to skip the rental car. We stay within walking distance of the parks, which makes it easy to take breaks at the hotel while also saving money on rental cars and parking.
But if you’re flying into LAX, that leaves one big question: How do you get from LAX to Disneyland with kids?
After trying different options, we found a private car service that has become our favorite way to get from LAX to Disneyland.
Why We Love Diamond Driver Guy

We discovered Diamond Driver Guy after seeing him recommended over and over again in a Disneyland Facebook group. He came highly recommended by so many families that we decided to give him a try—and he exceeded all of our expectations.
Diamond Driver Guy is a family-owned business, and we actually had the pleasure of meeting the owner himself, Adrian, when we booked our ride. He was our driver, and he was absolutely wonderful.
When Adrian picked us up at LAX, the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and ready for our family, with the appropriate car seats already properly installed for our kids based on the information we provided when booking. He even had waters waiting for us, which was such a nice touch after traveling with three kids.

But one of the things that really sets Diamond Driver Guy apart is the complimentary grocery stop. They offer a quick stop of up to 30 minutes at a grocery store or Target on the way to your hotel. We chose Target, ran in, and grabbed water bottles, snacks, and a few other things we wanted for the kids before continuing on to our hotel.
It was such a convenient way to start our Disneyland trip, and Adrian made the entire experience feel easy, comfortable, and stress-free. He was incredibly friendly, drove safely, and we felt like our family was really well taken care of from the moment he picked us up.

We also used Diamond Driver Guy for our ride back to LAX at the end of our trip. We had a very early flight, and Adrian was able to pick us up at 6 a.m. Having a transportation service that can accommodate early flights and different travel schedules is a huge convenience when traveling with kids.
They’re also able to accommodate large parties, which I thought was really cool. Adrian told us that he has accommodated groups of up to 15 people, using larger vehicles or multiple vehicles when needed. So even if you’re traveling to Disneyland with a large family or group, they can help coordinate transportation for everyone.
After using Diamond Driver Guy for both our arrival and departure, we were incredibly impressed with the service. It was such a great way to start and end our Disneyland trip, and they’ve become our go-to transportation service when we visit Disneyland.

How Much Does Diamond Driver Guy Cost?
One of the first things I looked at when researching transportation from LAX to Disneyland was the cost. I wanted to make sure that hiring a private driver made sense compared with renting a car.
Diamond Driver Guy’s current pricing for transportation from LAX to Anaheim starts at $195 each way for 1–4 passengers. Prices vary depending on the size of your group:

Pricing can change, so I recommend checking their booking page for the most up-to-date rates when planning your trip.
More Than Just LAX to Disneyland
While we originally found Diamond Driver Guy for transportation from LAX to Disneyland, they offer much more than airport transportation. They can provide private transportation throughout the Los Angeles and Anaheim areas, including sightseeing tours, airport transfers, and transportation for other activities and destinations.
So if you’re visiting Southern California and need a private driver, it’s worth checking out everything Diamond Driver Guy has to offer.

Why We Prefer a Private Car Over a Rental Car
With three kids ages seven and under, renting a car just doesn’t make much sense for our Disneyland trips. Rental cars can easily cost hundreds of dollars for a multi-day trip, and then you have to deal with driving in LA traffic—which, with three little kids in the car, sounds like a nightmare to me!
And then there are the car seats. With three young kids, the last thing I want to do after getting off a flight is lug three car seats through the airport, get them into a rental car, and then take them back out again at the end of the trip.
You also have to factor in parking. Many Disneyland-area hotels charge for overnight parking, and then you’ll have to pay to park at Disneyland if you drive to the parks.
For our family, we found the pricing of hiring Diamond Driver Guy to be very reasonable, especially when compared with the total cost of renting a car, paying for gas and parking, and dealing with the hassle of driving in Los Angeles.
We’ve found that staying within walking distance is one of the best ways to make Disneyland with young kids easier. I’ve written another blog post about our favorite place to stay within walking distance of Disneyland if you’re looking for a hotel recommendation.
This is especially convenient with little kids. If someone needs a nap, has a meltdown, needs a snack, or you just need to change clothes, you can simply walk back to your hotel, take a break, and head back to the parks when you’re ready.

When you combine a private driver with a hotel within walking distance of Disneyland, getting around becomes one less thing you have to stress about. There’s no loading up car seats, buckling kids into a rental car, navigating LA traffic, finding parking, or unloading everyone again. Instead, you can simply get in your driver’s car, let someone else handle the transportation, and then walk a few minutes to the parks from your hotel. For us, that convenience is hands-down worth it—and it’s one of the biggest reasons why we prefer hiring Diamond Driver Guy to take us to Disneyland.
A Sweet Little Disneyland Memory
One of the sweetest things happened when we were leaving Disneyland. My daughter had found a couple of little rocks in Cars Land that she was absolutely obsessed with. She carried them around Disneyland and then brought them into the car with her when Adrian picked us up for our early flight home.
After Adrian dropped us off at the airport, we realized that she had accidentally left her little Cars Land rocks in the car. Adrian knew how much she loved them because she had been showing them to him, and he was so sweet about it. He even offered to mail them back to us so she could have her special Disneyland treasures.
It was such a small thing, but it really stuck with me. It just showed how genuinely kind and thoughtful he was with our kids. He wasn’t just our driver—he really cared about making our family’s experience a great one.
And honestly, after experiencing his service ourselves, I can completely understand why so many families recommend him and continue coming back to him.
Final Thoughts
Having a private driver is hands down one of the easiest ways to do Disneyland with little kids. Traveling with young children can be stressful enough, so anything you can do to make the trip more enjoyable, stress-free, and easy is worth it in my book.
And as parents of little ones, anything that makes life easier is a win!
