Currently Planning the Ultimate Wicked Birthday Party for My Daughter 💚🎀 Come Craft With Me This Week!

My daughter is turning 5 next week, and she has been dreaming of a Wicked-themed birthday party! She’s fully in her Glinda era right now, so we’re going all in on pink, green, and a little bit of magic 💚🩷

I’m currently in the thick of party prep and wanted to share some behind-the-scenes as I bring everything together. From DIY decorations to party favors, I’ll be updating this post along the way and then sharing the full party setup once the big day is here!

So far I’ve made the party favor bags and hand-painted her birthday banner, and I have lots more planned (and way too many packages on the way 😅). I’m so excited to show how it all comes together!

Wicked Party Favor Bags (Glinda + Elphaba Inspired)

One of my favorite things to put together for this party was the favor bags! I kept everything in the Glinda vs Elphaba theme by doing a mix of pink and green so each kid could get one of each vibe 💚🩷

I wanted these to feel fun but still simple (and affordable), so I used clear bags and filled them with a few themed goodies.

I used pink bags for the “Glinda” side and green for the “Elphaba” side, which ended up being such a cute detail when they were all set out together!

I also made little tags to tie everything together. They say:

“Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.”

which felt perfect for a Wicked-themed party 🥹

I purchased the template on Etsy for a few dollars and designed and printed these at home, then attached them to each bag for an extra personalized touch.

DIY Hand-Painted Wicked Birthday Banner

I decided to make a large hand-painted birthday banner for the party, and it ended up being one of my favorite decorations! I used kraft paper and acrylic paint to create a simple but bold backdrop that fits perfectly with the Wicked theme.

I freehanded the lettering for this (I have a background in art), but you absolutely do not need to do that to get the same look!

We’re officially less than two weeks away from the party, and I’m so excited to see everything come together!

I’ll be continuing to update this post as I finish up decorations and prep, and I can’t wait to share the full party setup once the big day is here.

If you’re planning a Wicked party too, be sure to check back soon—I’ll have all the final details, photos, and what worked (and what I’d do differently) after the party!
